tankless water heater installation

A restaurant owner in Atascocita TX contacted Cal-tex plumbing regarding a broken tankless water heater. The restaurant was not able to run without hot water so the problem had to be resolved quickly. Cal-tex plumbing immediately headed to the location and diagnosed the problem. We explained to the manager that the heat exchanger was leaking due to improper installation. We contacted Navien technical support and they requested pictures of the unit and installation setup. Unfortunately Navien could not honor the warranty due to the improper tankless water heater installation. Cal-tex plumbing was able to find a supplier nearby that had the unit in stock. Our employee stayed after hours to correct the piping needed to install the unit correctly. We advised the business owner to do routine maintenance to assure that it will continue to run correctly for years to come.

Note: We were unable to relocate the gas line to the side of the unit because it would require the gas to be shut off which was not an option during business hours. The line in front of the unit does not interfere with the operation or future service of the unit.
